Switch Jobs

Here's a FrontPage post about a Minnesota teacher who has been trying to bring up the subject of the Cartoon Jihad. Her bulletin board posting of the cartoons has been repeatedly sabotaged by unknown individuals. Is it the Muslims who are doing it? Or, more likely I think, is it her own superiors who are trying to prevent the controversy? Management is often the home for cowards. It's part of the job description. Surely there is a better way to enroll people into leadership positions.

interesting story from a lot of viewpoints.

First, I occasionally guest lecture in a Votech class at Century and have to agree that the administration there is very "liberal PC".

Second, I was there 2 weeks ago and it was still a bit of the buzz but the bulk of the students could have cared less except that the "raghead minority" was very "thin skinned"

The whole thing is much ado about nothing and everyone rolls over on it

I posted this one just for you Mallory. I thought you might know something. So I'm interpreting your words to mean that the student body is racist but apathetic, that the administration was trying to keep a lid on things, and that the teacher was making an issue out of nothing?

JJ, in reverse order, the teacher was trying to promote discussion of a current event. The administration was trying to be PC without a clue. The student body as a whole could care less and really do not take exception to Muslims among them. They just think the whole thing is a waste of time. The "Raghead" remark I took to be aimed at the individuals trying to make something out of nothing

I hope that answered the question *S*
